The Night Gardener, by Jonathan Auxier
Molly, a main character in this book, made a decision of moving into the Windsor Manor. Even when people told her not to, and when she heard all the terrible stories, she still did. That was a bad choice, because her life, along with her brother’s and the Windsor’s, got a lot worse. Without her doing this, though, there would be no story. Right away, this choice portrayed her as stubborn. Further in the book, she shows more signs of this trait. For example, when she was told to not open a green door, at the top of the stairs. She wanted to see for herself, and she wouldn’t listen. This action also made Molly seem adventurous, which she was. Her and Kip (Molly’s brother), went on many adventures, and that made her character to be who she was. By making the choice of moving into the Windsor Manor, she put herself in a sticky situation. With the circumstances, Molly needed to be very brave; which she was. Some examples of when this showed, was when she had to fight the Night Gardener. This showed how brave she was because the gardener is a very powerful being, and Mary killed him off without showing fear. Going back to the main choice she made, Molly can be seen as very courageous. People can also assume, that she is a very confident, self teaching person. The choice Molly made in The Night Gardener, really illustrated her as a person. Molly Is a brave, stubborn, and adventurous character in this book. That choice she made of moving into the Windsor’s Manor might not have been a good one, but it formed the story, and formed her as a character all throughout.

Thinner by: Stephen King

In the book, Thinner by Stephen King, the main character, Billy Halleck, has been cursed by an old gypsy man, as he had accidently ran over the man’s wife, when Billy’s wife, Heidi, was distracting him from driving. During the rising action of the story, Billy contemplates how the accident, was not directly his fault, but Heidi’s, however, Billy dismisses the thought. When Billy meets with the old gypsy man, he is offered a pie, Billy offers a piece of the pie to Heidi, as it would inflict the curse on her. In Billy’s head, he did do the correct thing by offering Heidi to take a piece, as if the curse were to continue for Billy he would surely die and crash wasn’t Billy’s fault, therefore he thought, why should he be punished for something he didn’t intend to happen. The decision to give a piece of the pie to Heidi, feeds into Billy being a dark character, which is present through parts of the story.

Nathan D LA A Madness Underneath by: Maureen Johnson

One choice the main character in my book made was to go back to her school in London. I think this was not a good choice because when she went back to school, she didn’t know what her classmates were doing and she didn’t have enough time to catch up on work or learn the lessons she needed to before exams. Also when she went back to London her therapist tried to kidnap her and force her to join a cult. This decision shows what kind of character she is because it shows that she values her friends and she likes her school, but doesn’t think as much about all of the possible outcomes of her decisions are before she makes them.

The book that I read for my October book report is The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by: Stephen King. In my book the main character,Trisha McFarland made a very important decision. When Trisha left the trail that her mom, brother and herself were walking on, she had to use the bathroom so she left the trail. She also wanted to get away from her family’s constant arguing. Trisha got lost in the woods and didn’t know where the trail was. The important decision that Trisha made was to follow the stream that she claimed would lead her to civilization. I think that this was the wrong decision to make. For example, while Trisha was following the stream she fell down a rocky slope into a hornets nest. Another example why Trisha shouldn’t have followed the stream is because she didn’t as she followed the stream that she thought would lead her to people led her farther away. She did not know that she was already nine miles away from where search parties would probably be looking for her. Lastly, the stream that Trisha followed led her to a very mucky area with hardly any grass and almost nothing edible.
All in all it was a bad idea for Trisha McFarland to follow that stream. The stream just lead her to more and more dangers. This decision illustrated to me that Trisha is a dynamic character. At first Trisha McFarland was a gullible little girl. After she learned how to stay alive and somewhat healthy in these woods she stopped panicking and learned to salvage the items and food that she has. In conclusion, Trisha McFarland made a bad decision to follow the stream. But, she learned from these mistakes and continued to move forward.

Gone Missing by Linda Castillo

In this murder mystery, there are many choices that need to be made in order to save lives. The most essential decision was made by the protagonist, Kate Burkholder. She is a policewoman who has been tasked, along with other policemen, to find recent missing Amish teens. Through much investigation, she is lead to the family of one of the missing teens, the Masts. She is seeking to question them but no one is home despite a car being parked at the front of the house. That’s when she hears a scream and decides to check the perimeters, even with no warrant. However the biggest decision comes when she discovers an underground tunnel. As there is no light, she is alone, and only has a handgun, the logical thing to do would be to wait for the deputy she had called. However there are lives on the line, screams coming from the tunnel, and she takes a huge risk: she goes into the tunnel.
Though this put her life on the line, she made the right decision. As a police officer, she must protect the people, and this is a prime example of that. Not only did she make the right decision morally, but it also helped her discover the culprits of the disappearances and murders, Perry, Irene, and Noah Mast, and the teens who had been held hostage. If she had not taken that risk and waited, it might have been too late for the hostages, and the culprits might have escaped.
The decision that she made illustrated the type of person she is. Despite being told to wait for the deputy, she could not when people’s lives were on the line. Risking herself for others clearly shows her selflessness and sense of duty to the people. However because these hostages were Amish, it also shows her roots in the Amish society herself, as she used to be part of it. One of these people, Sadie, was even family to her, which highlights her connection to the society.

In the book “Fake ID,” the main character is Chass. In this book, her and her mother are always moving from town to town and changing their names. She doesn’t know why and who they are running from. One day in the book, Chass’s mom disappeared, and if she didn’t come back in the next six day’s, than Chass would have to go to a foster home. One of the choices that Chass made was to run away and move to a new town, to avoid the foster home. I believe that she made the wrong choice to run away, she should of stayed and looked for her mom. This is because when she starts running away she sees a car pass by and it pulled over to give her a ride. As soon as Chass got in the car, the guy driving was already creepy. He knew her name and had no handles on the inside of the car, so she couldn’t escape. Then, he drove off into the woods with Chass and said if she didn’t tell him where the “tape” was than he was going to kill her. Chass didn’t know what he was talking about, and eventually escaped from that situation. If Chass didn’t make the decision of running away, than the guy wouldn’t of captured her.
This decision illustrates that Chass is a brave character. This is because she knew that if she was successful with running away, than she would have to live by herself and take care of herself. Also, it shows that she makes decisions without thinking about it. In the book, there was no thought process in her brain that thought about if the people chasing her and her mom would find her, and what would happen to her, so she made the decision without thinking about it.

Nikolas D A class The Asylum Novellas by Madeleine Roux
In the book The Asylum Novellas the main character makes a decision that was wrong. The protagonist Cal chooses to figure out who the group of Scarletts are, and why they are doing weird things around Cal’s college. This is wrong because he ends up finding out that his dad is tied to the group of Scarlets. This group does bad things and he has now brought himself into this mess. This is bad because the scarletts are known for taking people mysteriously. Next he is now being followed by strange people that he doesn't know. Eventually his dad calls him to his office and is taken by the Scarletts. They bring Cal down to the schools basement. He now is forced to join the group and is hit over the head by a metal object which knocks him unconscious. If Cal had not chose to do this he would not have been forced to join this group. This choice illustrated the type of character he is because it tells the reader that he is curious and brave. This is because Cal wants to figure out who they are and what they do and is not fearful of what might happen.

The Last Apprentice Revenge Of The Witch By: Joseph Delaney

In my book the main character, Tom needed an Apprentice. So his dad set him up with the Spook. At first the spook wasn’t looking for someone to apprentice but then he asked his father a few questions and then he was saying sure why not but he didn’t think he was up for it. The boy did have a decision to make because this was a very tough and scary job and he didn’t know if he wanted to do it. In the text it said, “Then he shrugged. “It’s a hard enough life for a man, never mind a boy,” he said, “Think he’s up to it.’” At first the spook didn’t know if he wanted to take him and be his apprentice, but he came around and gave the boy a chance. If he said no the boy wouldn’t have to make a choice. Also, in the text, Tom says, “‘It’s exciting, but the job scares me. I want to do it, but I don’t know if I can.’” He doesn’t know if he can do it. He is not believing in himself, he is trying to make the decision to not go with the spook or to go with him. Finally, in the book the boy does end up going with the spook. This is because he doesn’t want to let his father down. He is the last son in the family and all of his brothers have Apprentices and he is the only one who doesn’t. I think he made this choice because if he didn’t get an apprentice his father was going to be really disappointed. Also, from this decision it makes Tom braver than what he was before. The main character, Tom decides to be the Spook's apprentice and go on many scary and hard adventures with the spook.

"Pet Sematary" Stephen King
October book report
In “Pet Sematary” by Stephen King the main character Louis creed makes some interesting decisions. One major choice was near the end of the book when hie decides to bury his recently deceased wife in the Micmac burying ground behind the pet "Sematary". This is an important decision because people or animals buried there come back to life as a sort of zombie with evil intent and a thirst for blood. He already buried his daughter's cat there to save her the grief of it being dead and after learning the power of the Burial ground he buried his son Gage there when he died. Gage came back and murdered Louis’s neighbor and wife. So, when he decides to bury his wife there it comes as a shock to the reader who clearly knows that was a terrible decision. Louis does this blinded by the mere possibility that he could get his wife back. The final chapter of the book describes one of Louis’s friends arriving to the scene where Gage murdered two people In Jud, Louis’s neighbor’s house which was now in flames. He approaches Louis who was carrying his dead wife to go bury her and is convinced he is insane and he killed her. While his friend Steve Masterton Is Wrong that Louis is responsible directly for the murder he is responsible indirectly and he is insane. From this decision what we can conclude about Louis’s character late in the story is that he is insane and a bad decision maker under pressure

Ranger’s Apprentice
John Flanagan

In the book, Ranger’s Apprentice, Will, the main character, has always wanted to go into battle school. When will told the Baron, the person who chose the people to partake in battle school, the baron said that he was too small and that he would think about what school Will would be good in. One of the Rangers passed him a letter and Will really wanted to know what they were saying about him and instead of patiently waiting for the next day to come, in the middle of the night, he climbed the castle walls, went passed the guards and into the baron's room. He found the letter, but he got caught, he landed into a surprise though. In this book, Will made the wrong choice, even though he is very stealthy and good at climbing, he was going to get caught by the most professional guards. For instance, in the text it states, “He stretched out a hand for it. He touched it. And a hand shot out of nowhere and seized him by the wrist!” This shows that he is a very determined character, but not very intelligent. Will should have just waited till the next day to figure out what the letter said. “He hung his head in despair.” This text evidence was right after he got caught and they were questioning him, but he wasn't listening, he was thinking about what he had done, how it was a bad choice, and what punishment they were going to give him. But after they questioned him, the letter said that he was going to be a ranger apprentice and that he got accepted into apprentice school. But, because he was going to take the letter, and that he trespassed, he did not get into the school he had wanted, battle school, but he wasn't punished because it was the ranger’s choice. In my opinion, will has made the wrong choice because if he had waited and gotten more stronger, he wouldn't have gotten put in the school he didn't want. Also, he made the wrong choice because with him trespassing he made matters worse so at apprentice school he was picked on and the ranger’s put more pressure on him.

My Best friends Exorcism
By:Grady Hadrick

The story My Bests Friends Exorcism had many choices that affected the plot. One of the main decisions was decided by Abby. After one night of going on a boat on the river Gretchen, Abby’s best friend comes back to land and instantly disappears in the woods. After the traumatic incident in the woods Gretchen got moody, she started to not have proper hygiene and she looked like she was getting beaten. Abby was concerned for Gretchen. Then Gretchen comes clean to Abby and tells her about the night in the woods. In the text it states, “”It was in the woods,” Gretchen said. “He was waiting for me. It was dark and he was so much bigger than a person should be…”” This makes Abby think that Gretchen might be possessed. She then felt like she had to do something for Gretchen because she felt like it would possibly save her from a demon living in her. Abby found a pamphlet about an exorcist and she called him so they could meet up and make a plan for Gretchen. Abby made plans to take Gretchen to a spot in private so the exorcist could remove the demons inside of her. After she made this choice she and Gretchen's friendship did change, as Gretchen does not want help and she is afraid that if they remove the demon it will come back. At first Gretchen was mad, she yelled at Abby for bringing her but in the end they form a strong bond. They became closer friends in the end. Although Abby took control and is a controlling, leader character she could have lost her friendship with Gretchen because of that. Also in the end it stated,“Abby Rivers and Gretchen Lang were best friends, on and off, for seventy- five years.” This clearly shows how because of Abby’s choice it affected her and Gretchen's friendship in positive and negative ways throughout the year.

Isabel B, LA A,
In the book The Space Between the Trees by Katie Williams, the main character was Evie a 16 year old girl. Evie had a really big crush on guy named Jonah. So everyday when she would pass out papers she saw him getting stuff from his truck and going into the woods. Jonah picked up dead animals from the woods as a job so the people who live there wouldn't find them. One day Jonah found a dead girl in the woods. Evie saw this while she was passing out newspapers she made the choice to stay and watch in the bushes as the police got there to investigate. She made this choice because she wanted to see what was happening and she a had an obsession with Jonah. This demonstrates how Evie was a curious and nosey person. In the book it says that she was waiting for a half an hour watching the police. Also in the book an officer spots her and she runs away because she doesn’t anyone to know she was there. Lastly in the book it says she was also watching Jonah. This shows how she had an obsession with him and that's another reason why she stayed and watched. Therefore, that's one decision Evie made in the book.

David Stone was the father of a baby who possessed the shining ability like Dan Torrance, the baby’s name was Abra. This baby has reactions to bad things when they happen before anyone else can figure it out. She can also tell when things are about to happen. Abra can also control things with her mind and talk to ghosts. The correct choice David makes is to believe his daughter when she knows something is going on. One example is she could tell her neighbor fell on her head while being across the street. Abra started to cry during a party and then started screaming like she was dying. When asked what's wrong she responds, “Help Wannie, Momo! Wannie fall down!” Wannie is their neighbor, Wanda Judkins. So they go across the street and find Wanda on the floor bleeding from her head. Later the paramedics tell David and his wife, Lucy that if they didn’t find Wanda when they did Wanda probably would have died.” Another way he believed her and was right doing so was when she controlled the T.V. with her mind. David and Lucy asked Abra if she made every channel become The Simpsons she giggled uncontrollably. So David turned the T.V. off, then back on and everything came back to normal. So David believed it was Abra instead of freaking out which was the right choice. The third time David believed Abra was when she started to show signs of 9/11. Abra drew the numbers of the planes on her stomach and believed that those were planes. Then when 9/11 happened Abra could not stop crying, and they weren’t in New York right before it happened. So David believed that his daughter predicted 9/11. Later a doctor later confirmed that she somehow predicted 9/11. This shows that David trusts people during bizarre situations and it works in his favor, and the three examples show how.

Alice G. class A title Flesh and blood author Patricia Cornwell
In Flesh and Blood by Patricia Cornwell, the main character, Dr.Kay Scarpetta decides to investigate how the multiple, suspicious crimes that have happened the last few months were connected instead of going on a relaxing vacation in florida like she had originally planned. This was extremely hard to do considering the fact that the people who were shot were from all around the country. One man was from Massachusetts, one from Florida, even one 5 minutes from Dr.Kay's house. This shows that she is determined and persistent. While the men had nothing in common, Dr.Kay knew something wasn't right. She is incisive because she realized that all the men were killed with copper bullets and the pennies on her wall were all well polished and from the year 1981. She had also received an email from a man who went by the name copperhead just days before the music teacher down the street from her house was killed. I think she made the right choice because in the end she found out with the help of her niece Lucy who is a that the copperhead, man who left the pennies on her back wall and the man who was responsible for the homicides was Desi her arch enemy from high school.

Kristiana C. Class: A Book: The Boundless by Kenneth Oppel
In my book, the main character, William (Will) Everett has to make a decision to either help people commit a crime that could in the end save a life or tell someone what is being planned and risk being hurt himself. Will is the train conductor's son who is on a very long train ride across America. The creator of this massive train recently died and his coffin along with many of his valuable belongings is being kept in a locked and heavily guarded train car. Will gets his hands on one of the only two keys to the car and many people are willing to hurt him to get their hands on that key. He gets separated from first class and is being protected by two circus performers, Maren and Mr. Dorian, who have their own key and will keep Will safe if he stays quiet about them breaking into the funeral car. They want to get in because the ringleader of the circus, Mr. Dorian, is about to die and thinks that there is a painting in the car that will save him. Will agrees to stay quiet because he likes Maren and wants to be safe. I think he made the right decision. It may have been a crime but no one was supposed to get hurt and it is just human nature to want to do whatever it takes to live a longer life. It shows that even though Mr. Dorian can do amazing tricks and seems to be very smart, he is only human. Humans can be greedy and will put others in danger if it could mean saving themselves. In the end, some of Mr. Dorian’s loyal performers and friends were killed so that he could have a chance at life. Will agreed to it to save himself as well. He knew that without the ringmasters help, he would be killed and his father could have been hurt as well. This shows that no matter how good someone seems to be, there is a greedy, desperate side to everyone that at the end of the day will do whatever it takes to stay alive and protect those they love even if the loved ones of others are put at risk. In the beginning of the book, Will was an innocent little kid who thought that he lived a very boring life. He wanted an adventure and by the end, the only thing he wanted was for his adventure to end. After it was all over, Will mourned the loss of his new friends from the circus who had died trying to save Mr. Dorian but he never doubted his decision. After all, he couldn't have possibly known that the painting wouldn’t work and if he hadn’t helped, his father could have also died and the ringmaster probably had a backup plan for if Will had tried to rat them out. In the end, even more people could have died without Will to help save them. He made the right decision and if put in his shoes, I to would have agreed to help break into the funeral car.

The main character, Emma Donovan decided to stay in the creepy house next door over night that she is absolutely terrified of, she was easily influenced by her brother making fun of her and her friend Val peer pressuring her into doing it. Without this choice, obviously, there would have been no story because the whole book is on the basis of her going into the house, So therefore I think it is the right decision. It also says a lot about Emma’s character she faced one of her biggest fears by going into the house alone. The author expresses Emma's dismay towards the house in saying, “Emma always felt cold when she looked at that house, a bone deep cold, even on the hottest day surrounded by people”. Emma’s character could be looked at as a brave girl facing her fear, or, a girl that desperately wants to be liked and is easily influenced by her peers around her. The author also did a great job describing the house in an eerie manor throughout the entire story, there was no rememberable positive adverbs to describe the house. The author says things late in the book like, “as Emma looked back at the house it still gave off a dark and mysterious vibe that gave her goosebumps”. This really capitalizes on the point that Emma was not comfortable with the house and her staying in the house is not something she would have done by free will. You could make the argument, that Emma got hurt in the house when she fell through the floorboards that it wasn't the right decision but I think her falling through the floorboards and not immediately turning back and going to her house like any normal person would, helps illustrate Emmas character and shows the reader what kind of person Emma is.

The main character, Rory, made the decision to escort the new Ripper herself and pretend that she will give him what he wants. This put her and could put everyone in serious danger. She did this to save her friends, and I think she made the correct choice. This way her friends could still live and have a chance at defeating the new Ripper. She knew that her friends would be no help if they were dead. Her choice shows that she is a caring, calm, and intelligent character. She kept her friends safe and succeeded in keeping what the Ripper wanted away from his grasp. In the book she kept her calm while the Ripper threatened her, and knew that he would not kill her, yet, and if her plans went well the Ripper would be gone and everyone would be safe. She had shown signs of calmness earlier in the book. She never overreacted or acted impulsively when there was extreme pressure, especially with the news constantly broadcasting information of the murders. She was surprised, alarmed and a little worried by this, but did not allow her emotions to fully take over. Instead she spent her time focusing on her school work. Her intelligence and compassion was revealed again when she found out that she could see ghosts. And her calmness was tested when she figured out that the new Ripper was a ghost. Rory made the correct decision of leading away the Ripper to keep her friends safe and increase the chances of defeating him.

Ruby, the main character, had to decide whether she wanted to go find her father and venture out into the poison rain that could potentially kill her, or she could stay at home and live her life alone. She decided to go out and find her father in london, many miles away while ruby lived in Dartbridge, England. This was definitely not a good idea, because before she left, she was attacked by the man who killed her stepfather, mother and little brother. She had found a few of her school enemies, but had to befriend them in order to stay alive. She nearly crashed a car trying to drive it on the highway. But she did not give up. She was determined to find her father and she was willing to risk her own life in order to do it. Ruby persevered through each hardship and saw her way through to the end. And she did end up finding her father in the very end.

Fay B Language Arts A

There many choices many characters made in “Meddling Kids” by Edgar Cantero. There are a few main characters, but the character the book starts out centered on is Andrea, or Andy. She makes a choice in the beginning to go back to her child summer home in Blyton Hills, where her detective club started: The Blyton Summer Detective Club. She makes this choice because of a case they had when they were younger, in their preteens. The case was called the “Sleepy Lake Case,” and the police concluded that the culprit was a man in a lizard mask trying to scare away the kids from the place with props like pentacles, dead bodies, and necromancy. The kids thought they had solved that case thirteen years ago, but now, they are feeling unsure. The pentacles and supernatural things were deemed props, but they were too real to be props. They knew something bigger was going on and they hadn’t solved it fully. I think this was the correct choice because it leads to what was left of the old club getting together, Kerri, Nate, and Andy. They go to the home, and end up uncovering a whole mystery of things they hadn’t seen thirteen years ago: a man named Damian Deboen resurrecting people, rising reptile-like creatures named “wheezers” from hell, and putting his soul into each of the members of the Detective Club, and using them as pawns to rise Thtaggoa, an evil, tentacled creature from the underworld, to wipe out humanity.
This choice illustrates Andy as a character really well. Andy is a fierce fighter who doesn’t like to give up. When she decided to get everyone back together to find out what was missing from their old mystery she really didn’t want to give up on that case. She knew it would be nagging everyone for the rest of their lives, and she wanted to get to the bottom of it. Andy’s character is also really sensitive, when she isn’t being brave. She cares about Kerri and Nate, and she cares about Kerri especially. Her choice illustrates that she cared about them, because their lives were in ruins after everyone moved from Blyton Hills. Nate had been put into an asylum, Kerri had dropped out of college and lived in a one room apartment with her dog, and she suffered from terrible, recurring nightmares. The last member, Peter, had become a Hollywood superstar but died of a drug overdose in his own home. Andy had broken out of jail and was getting into bar fights and all she had left was knowing that the Sleepy Lake Case wasn’t finished. She illustrated that she cared by letting them know there was something out there for all of them, and not what they were living with. Andy is also unstoppable; she used to say that she was a boy so she could do anything boys could do. Her choice illustrates that she is unstoppable because she won’t be kept back from solving that mystery by her own miserable life, or her friends’ lives. She had to convince the others, which took a while, but she wasn’t stopped there. Overall, her choice was the correct choice to make for her circumstances and her character is illustrated very well by it.

The boy was watching one of Grisini’s puppet shows and was fascinated by the way the puppets looked, how real they looked. The boy was allowed to go backstage and see the man who brought the puppets to life, Grisini. The boy however disappeared, no one knew where he had gone. All eyes rested on Grisini. His home at the time was searched once again, and after finding no sign of the boy the “coppers” left. The boy returned home, insane according to Mrs. Pinchbeck, Grisini was forgotten. Lizzie Rose is stunned. Hoping for a more reliable source, Lizzie Rose turns to Parsefall. He had just had a nightmare, when Lizzie Rose popped the question of kidnapped children. He tells her of two children a boy and a girl on two separate occasions. Both occasions very similar to Mrs. Pinchbeck’s story. The children had disappeared and nobody knew where. Grisini was accused and day after he was searched, the children returned home perfectly normal. Parsefall made Lizzie Rose promise that she wouldn’t tell a soul what he had told her.Grisini he claimed would “kill” him The following day however, Lizzie Rose ran into a “copper”. She told the copper what Parsefall had told her and told him that it was possible Grisini was hiding Clara in an old house (an idea of her own). This event shows that Lizzie Rose is not afraid of outcomes. She takes chances and these chances are what makes up her personality.

A choice the main character made was that she didn’t want go out with her friends and that she wanted to stay home so she didn’t get into trouble. So she told them that she was sick and she couldn’t go out. They were worried because she was fine the other day but how she said it made them think that she was really sick and that she just got sick over night. They told her to feel better and that they will call her after. That night she was watching T.V till she went to bed she told them that she was fine and that they didn’t have to call and just told them to have fun. She didn’t know what to do that night besides watch t.v and she got bored after that. She told herself that she wished she went with them so she wasn’t bored. She knew it was to late now to tell them that she could go but they would of knew she was lying the whole time and they would of got mad or upset or just said why didn’t you just tell us you wanted to stay home instead of lying. She didn’t know what to do now that she’s bored and now that she already lied to them. Once after her show was done she called them and asked what they are doing and they told her that they went to the mall and go food and just got out of the movies so she got upset and said ok goodnight they knew she was upset but they didn’t know what to do. They felt bad for her but she didn’t want to go with them.

Chloe the main characters, the choice she made was she has to find someone who can help her and her friends to gain their freedom from a Edison Group. I think she made a good choice because if she doesn’t trust anyone she might be dead. She might even get hurt. That shows the decision that illustrated the kind of person she is by trusting someone.

In this book a character made a decision. This decision was not only a bad one but also quite disturbing. This character had a job as gas station attendant and man told him to fill up his car as he went on a walk. An hour passed by and the man still had not returned back to his car. then character decided he wanted to keep waiting. (later the man was found dead in a pond)This shows the character was patient but can't see clues right in front of his face. I also think this was a bad idea because if he had gone looking for the man he might of been able to save him or call an ambulance.

I think the author made a good choice because it is such a good book why i think it is a good book iss because it is so thrilling to read and so interesting she did a good job with this book. Like in chapter 4 it talks about they distracted the little girl when they went by a person so they wouldn’t get in trouble or caught. She is like a dynamic type of character because she changes in the book a little like when she got picked up from the side of the road from the people aka the bad people in the book.

Bianca Is the main character in this book and the choice she made was a big one.
In the beginning of the story, Bianca is running from something a creature from her eyes in the middle of the night. The creature was fast and wasn't giving up on her she kept running and was tackled to the ground by the creature, But it turned out that the creature that was chasing her was a boy and he was trying to save her from the evil creature. Lucas was his name and he was very handsome in Bianca’s eyes. So they have a good nice long chat and she decided to trust him which was a big mistake. She was going to this school called evernight and it is filled with vampires but she didn't know that just yet.

I think that she made a good choice trusting Lucas but it was also bad because of how he is a vampire. Besides that though he is still very kind and he loves her so I really liked this because of the Suspense and the Romance. She ends up finding out about Lucas and at first, she doesn't want to be around him because she is afraid that she will be bitten and turned into a vampire. But through it all she still loves him and she won't give up on him that easy. Think that this really explains to me that Bianca is an easy go-getter and she will do anything for love. Lucas, Wow he is a little different he will do anything for Bianca but not for anyone else. He really loves Bianca so he will do anything for her. When I read this book I really felt like I related to it because it had to do with love and the secrets about love. Beside the Vampire thing, it was very good and I think that I would recommend it to someone else wanting to feel the secrets in this book.

Will Halpin made lots of decisions in this book one of them being the biggest, Would he follow Devon to crack the case of the murdered student? The answer is yes, he had no idea why he chose to follow him in trying to find the murderer but here's how the assassination went down, Will Halpin went on a school field trip to Happy Memory Coal Mine, his class was given old miner helmets to navigate the mine. Soon enough they arrived at a dead end in the tunnel, and the director, Miner Phil told everybody to turn off the lights on their helmets to feel how the miner’s felt back in the day. It was total darkness giving the murderer a chance to act, she used a piece of coal to knock out the student then pushed the student off of a ledge leading to an abandoned mineshaft, funny thing is, nobody heard this happen. Later in the book Will’s friend Devon Wanted to get involved with trying to crack the case, and he needed help. Will made the right decision because he was able to retrieve info that the police couldn't get. Will and devon intruded their school to look at the cameras to find out what the FBI asked the students about, The information they gathered led to the capture of the murderer. Will indeed made the right choice, if he never went with Devon, the murderer would still be out there, Scary. This decision shows that Halpin is a risk taker and a very good lip reader (as he is half deaf) and a brave person.

The choice that the main character in my book made was going to a school for metahumans called OSIRIS that trained kids how to be a superhero. He wanted to go to OSIRIS because he wanted to be a superhero with cool superpowers. I think the main character in my book made the right choice by going to OSIRIS because it has always been his dream to be a superhero and have really cool superpowers. Also, People will respect Evan(main character)more if he becomes a superhero. Lastly, I think Evan made the right choice by going to OSIRIS because people would accept Evan as a person if he was a superhero. This decision illustrated the kind of character that Evan is because the decision that Evan made to go to OSIRIS shows that Evan wants people to respect and accept him as a person.

I think that Gina made the right choice by attempting to save herself along with others that were held captive by Mellisande in her dungan. She made the right decision because if she hadn’t tried to break free then no one would, everyone captive were seemingly under a spell for the control of said captor. She was trying to save people that she was close to from when she was still alive to people she had some sort of bond with in the prison like rooms to even undead personas that weren’t fond of her. The decision she made showed the kind of person she was from when she forced her driver (Rick) to stay back and wait for her friends when at any moment they could’ve been caught from leaving the prison like house. That proves she shows compassion and is caring toward others and their safety. Another example `is that she was smart enough to figure out some of the plans that Melli had planned for a specific night and she knew when to try her chances at escaping, showing that she’s smart and not just a pretty face as she might say. To conclude examples, Gina had gotten staked before setting out her whole plan of escaping and was still able to assist everyone in flourishing the plan.

Closed For The Season
Mary Downing Hahn

In the book Closed For The Season the author Mary Downing Hahn used good description of characters in the book to explain the type of character they are. In the book Author made a choice that made him seem quite daring. One of the choices Author had made was too go to the abandoned overgrown amusement park to find out who had killed Myrtle “Dondalson. Mary Dondalson was the previous owner of the house that Logan is now living in. Rumor has it that Mary Dondalson got murdered in that house down the steps. Arthur was determined to go to that amusement park. I think that Author made the correct choice because if he hadn’t gone to that old fair he would have never found clues and solved the mystery of the murder. For example on page 91 it states “ Half blinded by sweat dripping my eyes, I followed Arthur through the gate and down a shady sideroad” This sideroad lead to the amusement park that was abandoned . This shows how Arthur isn’t turning back without hesitations, while Logan was really scared and had sweat dripping down his face. Arthur seemed to betray a daring character, and overall an adventurous person.

The Dead I Know

I think Aaron made a good choice on being a funeral director because this what he wants to do.
Aaron Rowe is just a normal kid just out of college and he’s learning how to be a funeral director and it all goes haywire after her has experienced a few gruesome things that have happened to people. Aaron had been taken through the easy stuff, like paperwork and getting the deceased people ready for wakes, or cremations, or the cemetery then there’s the hard stuff.
Aaron did not know he had to uncover the dead bodies from the sheets and be alone while doing so. So one time Aaron had gone down to the to the first floor and he had seen someone’s toe move while she was dead. Mostly Aaron was not afraid of the dead.but this scared him. John Barton (Aaron’s boss) had found this out and put Aaron on another duty. The scene duty. Aaron had gone to a crash scene where a motorcyclists had been hit head on and the victim had been totally destroyed and demolished and broken up into chunks. He had never seen this before and he was in a little shock.
I think Aaron made this choice because it pays good money and he can be his own boss after John Barton dies (because he’s an old man).

One of the main characters made a correct choice by dropping a noise maker so that the wolves that were chasing them stopped and wet for the next people in the line that the multiple kids were in trying to escape the infested fields of sick animals and fleeing to the water because it's a safe zone because that is the animals danger zone. It made him a bad character because the two people in front of him got attacked and killed by the wolves and he made it out alive without his friend only caring about his life and safety. In the book it it explains the fight in such a way it made me visualise what the fight had looked like. In the book there was this kid and the nick named him floaties because they know he can't swim and he has to wear floaties in the lake and in the lake in made me see how he looked up in the sky with everyone watching him then all the sudden attack floaties and trying to rip off his life jacket which was the only thing making him float. And i really thought at one point he would actually kill him.

Once the main Character Meg's mom dies she is forced to leave her house and now her soul is up for grabs by the devil because she makes the choice that she wants to rob a old mans money. Once Meg's mother dies she goes crazy on the streets and she is like an outcast and she makes the choices that the only way that she can survive alone is that she has to steal from people. I think that the choice she made was a very bad choice because now she has to do all these tasks or the devil will take her soul for the cruel thing that she has done and she only has a limited amount of time to do it before the old man dies.By making the decisions that she does it describes her character as an outlaw or a bad boy because she steals things from the old or week and could get into some serious trouble.

William, had to save Georgie, or at least he thought. Georgie had been sailing a boat along a stream channel and it went into the sewers he also went down there. He was taken by “It”. William and his friends found out that everything that had happened had been near the swears, they had done everything in their power to try to get rid of “It” but nothing worked. The only other thing they could think of was to go to “It” directly and try to get it. The realized the only sewer entrance was at the old well tower. When, standing outside of the tower, the friends chickened out now he was alone, or so he thought he knew he had to go in anyway, and save his brother. I would have done the same. Family is worth it and if this was the only way then we must try. If nothing else worked its not worth wishing you would have tried. It’s one thing being upset because it didn't work but it’s another when you didn't try. He did make the right decision, face you fears not them face you. If he didn't go it would have affected the story because “It” might have done something worse it the future, but this stopped him, for now.

Hoodoo By Ronald L. Smith

The Main Character Hoodoo dad made a deal with a gambler and the bet didn't work and left the gambler with billions of dollars in dept. The gambler goes to hell and becomes one of satan's followers. The bet that Hoodoos dad made was illegal and his dad was sentenced to death by hanging his dad didn't want to die so he used magic that his family had to cast his soul into Hoodoos but it didn't entirely work Hoodoo’s left hand wasn't his but his dads. The gambler who in the book is known as the stranger leaves hell as a shadow because he wants hoodoo’s left hand because it is his dads. Hoodoo makes the choice to kill the Stranger I think he made the right choice because the stranger was also hurting other people this shows that he was a good person because he was risking his life to save others. A piece of evidence in the book is when the Stranger cuts off all of the hands of the dead people in the graveyard to try to find out if one of them is Hoodoos dad’s. Also the Stranger killed Hoodoo’s grandmother when he went to hoodoos house a found out that he was not there. The Stranger also put all the people of the town under a spell to try and help him get hoodoos left hand.

One decision the character in my book was saying YES! Steven has a baby brother who is very sick. Every so often Steven has dreams about angles talking to him about his brother. They say that they are going to replace his baby brother with a new one that is all healthy. The angle that talks to him said that she is growing him in her nest. They angle in real life are bees and that they are working to build a new baby, a healthy one. So one night Seven fell asleep and had a dream that he saw his new baby brother for the first time. The angle was talking to him about his real brother saying he is not going to last that he is going to die in a week or two. She also said how devastated his family would be. So the angel asked him to do a favor. She told him all you have to do is say yes. Yes to a happier life with his new baby brother, yes to everyone being happy, and yes not tears of sadness but tears of joy. With the one word his baby brother was healthy again. I think he made that choice because he did not want to see his parents sad or depressed all the time. He also said yes because he wanted a baby brother and he wanted him to grow up strong and not to pass away. Lastly he said yes because he did not want to talk to the angles anymore they were taking over his life. That decision illustrates the kind of character he is by not so much thinking about himself but also his family and how it would affect his life. This proves that he is a strong character by taking matters into his own hands. Also it shows he is brave for making the choice he made, for thinking about what would happen if he said yes and if he said no.

Casimiro found the body while he was just passing through. After that Casmiro and Boridelli want to find it and they found nothing . Bordelli did not call any of his fellow police officer about this incident a couple days after there has been bodies and bodys everywhere with 8year old girls being murdered and others strangles with horrible bite marks. In my opinion i believe Bordelli should of told other police officers about the body Casmiro found even though he did not see it because that could of been related to the other murders in town also if the body was found and Bordelli new about it that would cause damage and he would of been a suspect.

I believe that Sherlock shouldn’t have made this decision. This is because if Sherlock didn’t come up with this plan, he wouldn’t have ran into this problem. In the book I read throughout this month , a big choice that the main character made was moving. They moved houses into a different town with way different people. The town they lived in before was somewhat normal . Normal people ,normal houses, and normal schools . But where they moved to now is very unusual . The people changed her. The way she acted and or thought.I don't think the choice she made was a good choice. Even though her mother died , they should have stayed in the same town , or at least the same neighborhood. Her life is worse now than before. In my opinion , I think it changed her whole personality. It's almost like she has a demon inside of her because , she definitely thinks the same way as one. They defenitly should have stayed in the same town , or at least the same neighborhood. Her life is worse now than before. In my opinion , I think it changed her whole personality. It's almost like she has a demon inside of her because , she definitely thinks the same way as one. After this big move it's definitely made a big impact in her life , and it definitely wasn't a good choice , because it changed who she was , and she is doing things she shouldnt be doing

What happen is Gene is a human and the rest of the people are vampires and every 10 years people are selected to go and hunt the humans. Gene gets picked and vampires to. One of the choices he made to tell one of the vampires that he’s a human because the vampires are very suspicious about. He tries to hide that he is a human but it getting harder for him. Gene didn’t tell them so they carried on hunting the last remaining humans in the dome. Also Gene has feelings for a vampire girl but he can’t express it because he’s human. This effects him because she’s in the dome with him. I think Gene made the correct choices because he would of been caught being a human and that he wouldn’t have made it out. Because the choices he made was good for him.
The book I read was great it had tough choices that the main character had to make and that the book always kept you on your feet.

One choice that Dr. Kate Schuyler made was she got very close and personal with her patients especially with Captain Cooper Ravenel. And when I mean close I mean having long conversations about Cooper’s life and they just had an instant connection to each other. I think Dr. Kate made the right choice by connecting with Cooper because if they didn’t they wouldn’t have found out that in a picture in the private hospital there was a man and a woman and the woman had the same ruby penate that was handed down from Kate’s mother and that woman in the picture is Kate’s grandmother and the man was Captain Cooper Ravenel. That decision helped Kate find more about her past and let her be able to know more about herself. In the text it states that “For the first time, I looked down into the face of Captain Ravenel, and the air between us stilled. … It was the way he was looking at me. As if he knew me.” That shows that they had an automatic connection between them. That is how Dr. Kate made the right choice by getting very close to Captain Cooper.

One choice that one of the characters made in my book was when Halina had tried to escape from a cell that she has been enslaved on for a while by the German Nazis. I think that she made the right choice to try an escape from the cell because jewish adults and children should not be enslaved and kept in the cell to die or be told lies that will lead them to death. Also another good reason why she a good choice was because she didn't want to be kept hostage, and wanted to see another side in the world. The decision illustrates what kind of character is that she is a strong and brave character and focuses only on one thing which is to succeed.

In the book the silver eyes the characters are not the brightest, but to be fair not all horror characters are the smartest and make bad decisions all the time it really breaks the illusion. In the book the year is 1997, and the characters are all pretty much stereotypes, the story takes place in a small town in utah and the setup is that the main character charlie whose dad ran a kids pizza place killed himself after some kids including one of their friends went missing at the restaurant and the characters return to the town for their friend's memorial 10 years later, and then they get bored and break into the pizza place, where haunted robots try to kill them. In the prompt it asks for a decision a character makes, i chose assuming carlton's kidnapping was a prank with all the evidence that it wasn’t. In the book charlie, the main character and john slowly figure out that there was more than one freddy’s[ the name of the pizza place], charlie had a brother, and there is a yellow bunny suit used by the presumed killer, and they don’t tell anyone. Later when carlton gets kidnapped and jason, who saw it says that it was a yellow suited rabbit that took him they tell his dad and his dad just says it's a prank, and they wake up the next morning and his mom says they are crazy and the kidnapping was real. what this says about the characters is that they are stupid and can't put the pieces together.

Steve the main character in my book decided to tell his parents that he was having dreams about angels that were talking to him in his sleep these angels turned out to be wasps and that the queen wanted to replace his baby brother with a new one growing in a nest. Steves parents seemed a little shocked and asked him if he wanted to go to the doctor.
I think he made the right decision by telling his parents because it's always good to tell your parents something you need help with so by telling them this information they can try to help and solve the problem. Because he told his parents they asked if he needed to go to the hospital and try to help him with the nightmares. Then his dad made the suggestion to talk to the babysitter to see if she had anything to do with this problem. After that they sent Steve to Dr.Brown to see if he could do anything to see if there was any physical therapy methods Steve could use.
Since Steve told his parents that he was a having nightmares about the angels and wasps it shows that he is brave because he has only told a few people. It also shows that he is scared because if you tell your parents about all these severe nightmares that you are scared about then that means that you are more scared than usual. And finally it shows how he is a little insecure about what his parents might think because if you are having a rough time then you should go to your parents first.

In the book A Tale Dark And Grim The old king was passing away so he asked his servant Johannes to not let the young king in the room with the golden princess portrait. Johannes promised and went on when it came time to give the young king a tour of the castle he did the young through a temper tantrum when he found out he wasn’t aloud in. Johannes finally unlocked the door and let him in he fell in love with the golden princess in the portrait. Once johannes told the young king how the princess was cursed and any man she tried married died the young king decided he wanted to marry the princess. The choice was a weird choice sense the young king was told of the mishaps of marrying the princess. He then asked Johannes to come with him and protect him Johannes being very faithful he accepted and they went off to the castle. I think the young king made the wrong choice because knowing that there is a very high chance that you could die marrying this princess is scary but he decided to do it anyways. Also i think this is a bad choice because what if Johannes can not protect the young king and he does die what’s going to happen to the castle. The only reason the young king wants to marry the golden princess is because of her beauty and because she looked very lonely and sad in the portrait. (well i mean she is cursed and can’t marry anyone so yeah)

The book i read was hoot and the author is carl hiaasen a choice that the main character made was when he was getting strangled by the bullie he punched him in the face and then ran away in fear as everyone in the book says but he was really going after someone this boy that he thought went to there school but he was actually homeless and lives in a ditch by a golf course. He found out that because when he was running after him they went through the golf course and he got hit in the head with the ball and the next day he got suspended because he was getting strangled and punched the kid in the face but his mom let him stay home because he had welts on his neck and she wanted to get a better look at them the next day. So when a week went by he went back to school and so did the bully and the main character wanted nothing to do with him and was just trying to ignore him but his friend told him that the bullie wanted to beat him up after school and that he shouldn’t hang around sfer school.

Among the Hidden

For October i read a book called, Among the Hidden. The main character in the book was named Luke. His mom and dad were mentioned but only mentioned as mom and dad. He had 2 brothers but their names were only mentioned a couple of times. In the book, Luke is considered a “Shadow child”. There was a law where families could only have 2 children, but his parents had 3. They lived in a house where woods surrounded it so Luke was able to go outside, but he couldn’t go to school or do anything that involved him living the woods. One day, construction workers ruined the woods, so Luke could not go outside anymore. If he did and someone saw him, then the government would come to his house because it was a law. One of the actions that happened in the story involved mostly just Luke’s mom but his Brothers and his dad was their. Luke normally ate all his meals with them but he would have to wait until they said he could go just to make sure nobody was their. One day that all changed. He went down stairs from the attic (his room) and as he was about to come out, his mom blocked him from getting into the kitchen. She then had him sit on the stairs where he was coming from and eat his dinner. He couldn’t hear any of the conversations his family was having. Luke thought that it was just a one day thing. So the next day when he came down for breakfast, the same thing happened. After breakfast when everyone had left besides his mom, his mom came up to his room to talk to him. She told him that he has to eat his meals there now because a construction worker might see him through the window. He knew that he couldn’t look out the windows and he knew why but sometimes he didn’t understand why the government made that law. I understand why his mom made the choice but i think that it was the wrong choice. She had 3 children for a reason and it is not right to leave one of them out for family meals because of a law. If the were so worried about someone seeing him then they should have shut the blinds or did something where nobody would be able to see Luke. This action proves that Luke’s mom might not care about how Luke feels because if she really did, then she would have tried something to let him eat his meals with his family and not be left out.

A.) This book is by andrew lane and it's called snake bite. The reason why it's called snake bite is because they’re are this kid and he is on a ship that were he learns tai chi from the cook but there are troubles on the way people get sick start dying. The boy never really got too much sleep because he was too worried getting sick. Andrew lane does a really good job making the character a very likeable person and other people not so much. Since it is a mystery book/ adventure foreshadowing plays a big role in this book because he gives a lot of clues hinting of too the reader that something is coming next like a bad weather storm u know its coming just by the way andrew lane is writing changes to more dramatic irony as the book/ climax become more evident.

He makes good decisions such as not acting out misbehaving on the ship it demonstrates what kind of character he is because he is a well behaved kid and has to go through hardships throughout the book and he deals with it and makes positive out of it. Some of those hardships like terrible weather on a ship.

The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod

In my short story book The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, Vlad, the main character in my october book made the choice that he was going to attack an innocent child. Vlad was a real life vampire, but his friend Henry wanted him to go to a party with him. Vlad dressed up as a vampire to cover up the fact that he was actually a vampire, and Henry was a super hero. Henry already knew Vlad was a vampire. So they go to the party had some fun until Henry and Vlad went outside. Henry told Vlaad to hide up in a tree and wait for a trick or treater to come by so Vlad could attack him. Vlad doesn’t attack innocent people for no reason, his aunt doesn’t want him going around and sucking people’s blood, and Vlad doesn’t do it if he had no reason to., but he made the choice that he was going to attack him. “Vlad floated closer to the boys until he was just above their heads, and quickly bit their necks and flew away.” In conclusion, these are my details why Vlad made the choice he made.

The Fallen
When the main character was being hunted down by a group of historical vampires she decided to stay in the city and fight by herself rather than getting help from her husband Adam and his pack. By her choosing to do this it showed that she is brave and confident but also not so smart. Being the wife of a powerful werewolf pack leader she was always protected and she wanted to show everyone that she doesn't always need her husband and her pack to keep her safe. In the book she did happen to get help from a boy and a girl werewolf who tried but failed to help her attack the building were the hunters were staying. She transformed into her coyote self in order to sniff out were the hunters were. But she ended up getting captured and was put in a basement with corpses to rot. She then started to see the corpses spirits which were just parts of them such as their negative parts which they tried to rub off on her and pull her away from the reality of her despair. She tried to call out to her husband using her mind which everyone in her family and pack could do. She did happen to mentally contact her husband who came with his pack and saved her.

Killing Britney by Sean Olin

In the book Killing Britney by Sean Olin the main character is Britney and she has made a bad choice. Britney recently killed her mother when her family went rafting and she tipped her mother over off of her raft and into the water and then never saw her again. Also, a rumor went around saying that Britney's boyfriend got hit by a truck. But, it was actually Britney who killed him because he knew too much about Britneys mother's death. Everyone that she becomes friends with and have somewhat of a clue about what she has been doing, she kills them before they can tell anyone else. For example in the text it states,”...killing everyone and anyone who came anywhere near discovering the truth about what she had been doing.” This reveals that she doesn't want anyone to know that she is killing people like her mother and friends. She has made a bad choice because she is going around and killing people and not doing anything about it.It makes Britney look suspicious by her killing other people including her mother and her boyfriend.

Miles S D Class Book: Reality Check Author: Peter Abraham

The main character in Reality Check is a high school student named Cody. His ex-girlfriend, Clea, went missing the day after they broke up. Clea was going to college in Hong Kong then to Vermont for good, so Cody thought since Clea would be gone forever he would just break up with her, but after that and then hearing of Clea missing Cody decided to go find Clea.

I think Cody made the correct choice because he felt bad for breaking up so he thought it would be the best way to make up for that would be to find her and bring her back home. This shows Cody’s character because he is loyal to everyone. When Cody was working for/ with a cop to find Clea, Cody almost got arrested by him because he was doing something to find Clea that the cop, Sergeant Orton, didn’t allow. Cody was using Clea’s horse to see if the horse would pick up her trail in some snow. It snowed the day Clea went missing so Cody thought he could find her tracks in the woods where she was last seen on the horse, Bud. Sergeant Orton gave Cody a warning that really made Cody mad but Cody still remained loyal to him because he could have gotten arrested, and it would put Clea in danger of not being found. The third reason Cody shows his character by making the right choice, was that he found Clea even if it meant risking his life. Cody almost got shot but he saved Clea in time and brought her back to Colorado.

Zoe R Class D 11/1/17 Doll Bones-Holly Black

I the book Doll Bones the main character's name is Zach and he had the decision of going with his friends Alice and Poppy to return the doll Eleanor back to her family's grave in Liverpool (not in England) and he went with his friends. Before he made the decision to go he had a moment where his dad threw all of his dolls in the trash and he got so angry that he did not want to tell his friends about it because they were playing a game with the dolls. And by going on the trip with his friends he has the chance to go and share his thoughts with his friends and in the end of the book he ends up telling them and it makes him feel relieved that they were not angry with him and they were understanding. Also on the journey he learns more about his friends that he never knew before. One thing that Zach never knew about his friends if that Alice actually had a crush on him and in the end he had a date with her. Another example of him making the right choice is that when they were in the library with a stranger and had to call his parents he kinda made up with his dad and his dad is not angry with him for leaving home even when he was going to come back he was worried for Zack and that changed his mood throughout the story. One last reason why he made the right choice to go on the quest is when he was on the bus he stood up for his friends when they were being harassed by a stranger he conquered a lot of fears that a normal 12 year old kid would not be able to do.

Book title: Ark Angel
By: Anthony Horowitz

The main character in this book is Alex Rider and throughout the book he has to make many unrealistic hard choices that a regular fourteen year old boy would not make. Alex was recovering in a hospital after being shot. While Alex was roaming around the hospital, on his own during the night, the Force Three decided to show up and try to kidnap, Paul Drevin, who was in the room next to his. Alex decided to act as Paul to protect his sleeping acquaintance against the group of men that had just walked into the hospital, demanding to see him. Alex was to be released the next day, and plans changed as soon as he decided to go against these criminals and pretend to be Paul. In the text it described how much he pondered what to do in order to protect Paul, but I think that Alex made the wrong choice. Also, I do not believe that Alex should have pretended to be Paul because although he got away with it, or so he thought, it ended up terribly. My reasoning for this is that, although he felt the need to help Paul he could've done it in a different way. Instead of pretending to be Paul, and lying he could've woken him up and gave him the warning to hide or escape. After fighting against these men and thinking he had won, he was knocked out and kidnapped, if Alex would have thought more thoroughly he wouldn't have ended up in that state. On the contrary, his bravery and the action of protection toward a boy he barely knew illustrated that he was a very caring and concerned person. Not many people would risk their lives for stranger or anyone at all but Alex was not the same.

Cujo by Stephen King
Cujo was faced with the choice of chasing a rabbit or letting it go. He chose to chase the rabbit all the way back to it’s hole where Cujo incountered something that would change the way he was. Cujo was at the hole when red-eyed bats came rushing out of the hole. They were bitting his face until he finally killed all of them. Cujo not knowing what was gonna happen to him returned to his home at the mechanic shop. I believe he made the wrong choice by following the rabbit because now he’s gonna change and for the better. When he was bitten by the bats he was giving a virulent strain of rabies. The strain of rabies made him become a killer. The decision Cujo made changed him from the energetic, fun loving, goofy, and happy dog he was to a vicous, lunatic, who started killing.

Peeled by Joan Bauer
The book that I read was named,” Peeled” by Joan Bauer. The main character in the story was named Hildy Bittle. She was a news reporter for her school and one of her decisions that I agreed with was she only told people things she heard when she knew for a fact that it was true and that she had evidence to back it up.One example of her doing this in the book was on page, 77 and she says,”I couldn't write a story that I still had questions about.” This states that she doesn't just guess that things are true until she actually knows that it's a fact. Another example she does this is because she says,” Didn't anyone care about the truth?” That shows that Hidly likes to tell the truth and not say something or write something down that is fake. The last example is when Hildy says,”I decided not to mention it because I dont have the facts for it to be in the article.” This makes sense to her normal decisions because she is saying she needs the facts. This relates too my life because I try to not spread rumors or untrue things until the fact or rumor is proven true.

The Ghost of Graylock: By Dan Poblocki

In this book, about a haunted asylum, in a town called Hedston, the main characters, Neil, Bree, Eric, and Wesley all go and explore it. It is supposedly haunted by a ghost named Nurse Janet. Many things happened in their exploration, such as injuries, and findings. Therefore, many choices had to be made by the characters.
One choice that I believe changed the course of events was when Neil, and Bree went into room 13. Room 13 was the most haunted room in the hospital. Neil would feel the urge to go into that room. It felt as if he was “compelled” to go into that room. This was a bad choice. This is because while they were in their, they had lost Eric, and Wesly. It was also a bad idea because while in there, they were attacked by Nurse Janet. They had been locked in that room. Neil had been pushed by her into a wall, and his nose bled. His camera, and flashlight had died, too. This left him with no light, or no proof he could show anyone, because he couldn’t record. Luck soon turned to there side when Wesley said from across the hallway, “ What are you guys doing in there?” That’s when he opened the door, and saw the two in the room. Neil had almost fainted, so Bree had to help him out. Then, as they were about to up and leave, the floor had caved in, and Neil’s leg had got caught. This left him with a Terrible gash on his leg. That’s when something was coming out of the darkness. A human-like figure. Turned out, it was Eric, and the 3 kids had gotten scared for no reason.
Going into room 13 was a bad idea because if the hadn’t, Neil wouldn’t have been completely injures, head to toe, and Nurse Janet wouldn’t have followed them home, and haunt their dreams for a long time.

Dorothy Must Die
Danielle Paige

The main character is Amy Gumm, an average high schooler with an alcoholic mother, gets swept up in a tornado and finds herself in Oz, but something isn’t right. She had to make a very important decision, whether to go on trial for her wrong doings or leaving with Mombi, the “wicked witch”. She decided to go with Mombi and not face her consequences. This was a tough decision because it was between dieing or saving a place that once was so magical but when put into the hands of a greedy outsider got ruined because when Dorothy got a little taste of magic, she just kept wanting more and more until she had it all. I think she made the right choice because even though she ran away from her responsibilities, she was going to save Oz by removing the tin woodman’s heart, stealing the scarecrow’s brain, taking the lion’s courage, eventually killing Dorothy and making Oz back to its normal, magical place again. This shows that Amy chooses what’s right for others sake and not hers. If Mombi never came, she would have gone on trial ,probably been proven guilty and died but she decided to risk her life to save all of Oz to save not only for the people but animals including the once high flying monkeys who got their wings cut off and were now slaves for Glinda, the “Good Witch”.

Jack s the eyes of darkness by dean koontz's 11-1-17
LAD
The main character in my book is a mom with a son named dominic that passed a while ago. Many choices were made in this book but the most important decision was when she decided to believe that her son was still alive and that she could find him. This is the most important decision to make because she would’ve never found her son because if she just gave up and lost hope that he was still living then she would’ve never found him. I think the mom is a strong character because at first she saw him in real life in a white pickup truck many times and wondered if he was still alive then she thought about how would it be possible for him to be alive because he was in a bus accident and they had a funeral for him and everything. Then one night she heard something and thought it was an intruder so she took her gun off her night stand and searched the house and when she went into Dominic's old play room she saw something written on the whiteboard, it said, NOT DEAD which gave her chills but also a little hope that he was still alive so she checked the rest of the play room but no one was there.

Aidan Ramaglia --- The main character, Emma Donovan decided to stay in the creepy house next door over night that she is absolutely terrified of, she was easily influenced by her brother making fun of her and her friend Val peer pressuring her into doing it.

Abbey A: La A: Hate List

The main character in the story Hate List, Valerie, made a decision to go back to school after she was blamed for a crime her boyfriend did. He made a hate list with Valerie and he died in the shooting. Valerie didn’t do anything but still went back to school. People started questioning the situation and no one liked her enough to choose her side. This was a poor choice because it defined Valerie as a suspect. The author made it seem like she did do it especially in part 2. In one part it shows it was the wrong decision because people are scared of her and think she committed a crime.

The charter had to make a good amount of choices in this book. The boy was being chased in the middle of the woods but he escaped the man. He chose to put it all behind him and not get bothered by it anymore. 5 years later he and his family were ready to go on a holiday vacation. He was feeling sick so they rescheduled but he insisted they go. That turned out to be a bad choices as the weird creature returned. He started to hear noises from the cellar but something told him he shouldn't go but he decided to go any way and came face to face with this creature again. He decided to run but next thing you know his family comes up stairs and tells him there not going till next week.
